Whitecaps training took a heated turn today as captain Pedro Morales and goalkeeper David Ousted squared up during a training session at the University of British Columbia.
Vancouver’s disciplinary issues have been on show all season, and today the same issues flared up in training. Ousted appeared to lose his temper at captain Pedro Morales, questioning his commitment to the team. In response, Morales squared up to Ousted.
The turn of events was a surprise to everyone but it seems as if these problems may have been prevalent for some time. Ousted probably had an issue with Morales commitment before but now that the team’s on the outside looking in on the MLS Cup playoffs, it was the perfect time to clear the air.
