Montreal Impact’s Didier Drogba Refused to Play Sunday

Remember last year when Drogba came to the MLS? He turned the entire Impact team around, scoring 11 goals in 9 starts, averaging 1 goal every 79 minutes and then scoring a goal in the playoffs. This season is a little different though.

After refusing to play on artificial surfaces and all the drama that came before the season started, Drogba now is unhappy that he hasn’t been starting for the Impact. Can you blame head coach Mauro Biello, though? Drogba may be one of the best strikers of our time, but so far this season the Impact have gone 3-7-8 with him in the starting XI and 8-3-4 when he starts on the bench.
