It can be argued that FC Dallas is where they are this season because of the brilliance of a few players, specifically Mauro Diaz. The number 10 has been on fire this season but it looks like Dallas will have to play without him for the rest of the season.
Though no formal report has come from the club, Jon Arnold from Goal.com has reported that Diaz was stretchered off the field on Sunday because of a torn Achilles. If this report is true, the Dallas playmaker would not only miss the rest of this season, including playoffs, but a good chunk of next year as well.
