The MLB Trade Deadline is just a few days away, and the Hot Stove is full of rumors, rumblings and news. There's already been one major trade today, and it's time to break down what happened between the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres, as well as discuss a few rumors.
In a new show for Facebook Live, Chat Sports presents Rumors Roundup. In this edition of Rumors Roundup, I break down the Marlins-Padres trade for Andrew Cashner, the latest on the Royals and the trade market for Jonathan Lucroy.
A few quick notes on what's discussed above. The exact trade between the Marlins and Padres was Miami getting SP Andrew Cashner, SP Colin Rea and RP Tayron Guerrero in exchange for 1B Josh Naylor, RP Luis Castillo, SP Jarred Cosart and RP Carter Capps. The Padres also sent some cash to the Marlins, which wasn't disclosed until after the video was published.
Finally, Luke Hochevar has received word back from one doctor, and he will need surgery. However, he will get a second opinion.
