Report: Rangers pitcher Jeremy Jeffress arrested for DWI

Texas Rangers relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress was arrested early Friday morning for driving while intoxicated, reports WFAA.com.

According to Dallas County jail records, Jeffress was jailed at 5:13 a.m, no bail has been set at this time and no charge is listed on the website.

"The Texas Rangers are aware of the situation involving Jeremy Jeffress that took place early this morning. At this time, we are in the process of gathering information and have no further comment," the team said in a statement.

Jeffress, 28, was traded to the Rangers along with All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy on Aug.
