Following a breakout 2016 season, Jose Ramirez has made a long-term commitment to the Cleveland Indians by agreeing to a four-year contract extension Friday.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports first reported Ramirez and Cleveland were nearing an agreement on the deal, later adding it guarantees the 24-year-old $26 million and includes two team options through 2023 that could make the total value worth $50 million over six years.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports also reported the two sides were in agreement.

Ramirez was an integral part of Cleveland's run to the World Series last season.
