3 MLB Rumors You Need To Know For Dec. 7th

Football is great and all, but we don't ignore baseball just because the season is over. Luckily for us, there's always something to talk about in the MLB, especially with the Winter Meetings underway now. We're here to highlight the three most intriguing rumblings out there with the MLB Rumors You Need To Know For Dec. 7th:

Pump The Brakes On Chapman?

The Los Angeles traded for Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman this morning, according to many reports. However, that may have been a bit premature.

Cole is a sports writer for both Forbes and Rolling Stone, so there is reason to trust him. If true, the Reds - Dodgers for the Cuban Missile has taken an unexpected twist. The Dodgers can still make a deal for Chapman, but nothing is official yet

UPDATE:

The delay in the Chapman deal might actually stem from an October incident involving the flamethrower.

Everyone Waiting On Zobrist?

It seems that the position player market is waiting on Zobrist. Few players have actually signed and it appears that players and teams are waiting on Zobrist to make his choice on where to play next. That decision could come in the next 48 hours, and there's one team that is feeling confident in their chances.

Zobrist has drawn heavy interest from the Giants, Nationals, Royals and Mets.

Cliff Lee Has Interest Galore

Lee has plenty of options in his return to baseball, as 15 teams have expressed interest. Lee didn't play last season while recovering from a torn flexor tendon, but the 37-year old is looking to return this year. Lee has upside as a bounce back candidate, and could rediscover some of his old ace form. It's unclear just which 15 teams have expressed interest.
