SEC lands eight on Academic All-District Softball Teams

Eight SEC student-athletes were named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Softball Teams, which recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Representatives from the SEC on the All-District First Teams include: Chandler Dare, Sydney Littlejohn and Haylie McCleney of Alabama; Kasey Cooper of Auburn; Kayli Kvistad of Florida; Breanne Ray of Kentucky; Emily Crane of Missouri; and Kaylea Snaer of South Carolina.

The Academic All-District™ teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the fifth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored.
