COLUMBIA, MO. • Barry Odom will use the weekend to simulate the Missouri football team’s season-opening Sept. 3 game at West Virginia, complete with a stop Friday at a local hotel to mimic check-in and team meetings the night before the game, followed by a Saturday practice that will start the same time as next week’s noon kickoff in Morgantown, W.Va.
It’s that close to game week.
“You can feel the energy,” Odom said after Thursday’s practice.
Just don’t ask the head coach who’s starting. Well, you can ask. Just don’t expect an answer.
