Mizzou's Penton named first-team All-SEC

COLUMBIA, MO. • After leading the Southeastern Conference in interceptions, Missouri senior cornerback Aarion Penton earned first team all-SEC honors as voted by the league coaches.

Penton, a 2013 CBC graduate, picked off a career-high five passes during MU’s 4-8 season, ranked second in the SEC with 12 pass breakups and led the league with 17 passes defended. Only eight players around the country intercepted more passes.

Missouri defensive end and sack leader Charles Harris earned second-team honors. Harris finished tied for third in the SEC with nine sacks. Harris, a junior, announced last week he will skip his senior season and enter the 2017 NFL draft.
