COLUMBIA, MO.• Hoping to replenish one of its weakest position groups, Missouri signed four junior college defensive linemen during the offseason. Three of the four made the roster. The one casualty is Malik Young, who failed to qualify academically, MU coach Barry Odom said Thursday.
“Yesterday we got final confirmation from the NCAA that we’re going to help him go somewhere else,” Odom said. “He won’t meet the qualifications to get here. Hate it for him because he’s been patient and done a really good job to get everything worked out. … He’s got a lot of options.
