Three Missouri players left Saturday’s game against Middle Tennessee State were injured during Saturday’s game against Middle Tennessee State.
Linebacker Michael Scherer, cornerback John Gibson and tight end Jason Reese all left during the first half against the Blue Raiders and did not return. The school ruled out all three for the remainder for the game shortly after their injuries occurred.
Scherer, who injured his right knee, and Gibson, who injured his left, are both starters and fifth-year seniors.
Reese, a backup, is a junior.
Before Saturday’s game, Scherer had a team-high 52 tackles, while Gibson was tied for the team lead in interceptions with three.
