The boys basketball coach at Kickapoo High School will leave his alma mater.
Coach Dick Rippee accepted a position to be the new boys basketball coach at Bentonville High School in Bentonville, Arkansas. He leaves Kickapoo having coached the Chiefs to a record of 183-49 over eight seasons.
Rippee accepted the job offer from Bentonville at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. He met with Kickapoo basketball players later that afternoon.
“You want your guys to hear it from you. You don’t want them to read about it on Twitter. You like to tell them face to face and that way they know exactly what happened.
