Since the end of the 2016 college football season, it was evident that the Missouri State Bears were going to start a quarterback who had yet to throw a pass at the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision.

On Wednesday, Glynn Hill of the Houston Chronicle reported that Rice University quarterback J.T. Granato will transfer to Missouri State and be eligible immediately.
