Here’s a memo for NBC Sports producers: Mississippi State and Ole Miss aren’t the same – and if you get them mixed up, somebody will let you know.
NBC made an embarrassing miscue in its on-screen graphics during the Sunday Night Football broadcast of the Seattle Seahawks’ game against the Carolina Panthers.
The network displayed a graphic on Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright that was almost right – almost.
Age, 27 years old? Right.
Hometown, Olive Branch, Mississippi? Right.
College, Mississippi?
Uhh, not so right.
As Mississippi State fans know well, Wright played his college football for the Bulldogs in Starkville, not the Rebels in Oxford.
