Former Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson, a beloved figure on MSU’s 2014 team that rose to No. 1 in the country for five weeks, was arrested early Saturday morning on a disorderly conduct charge according to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.

Robinson was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on Saturday at Aspen Heights, an apartment complex near the Mississippi State campus. Robinson was released on bond.

Robinson played three seasons for the Bulldogs from 2012 through 2014 after redshirting his first year on campus in 2011. After solid freshman and sophomore seasons, Robinson rose to stardom in 2014, earning the nickname ‘Bowling Ball’ for his ability to run over defenders as he played in all 13 games and garnered 11 starts.
