While Mississippi State's successful 2014 season didn't end in a victory in the Orange Bowl, the Bulldogs' visit to Miami did result in a big win in the public relations department.
A Connecticut woman who was traveling with her family and staying at the Trump Doral Resort, the same hotel as the Mississippi State contingent, recently sent a letter to coach Dan Mullen and athletic director Scott Stricklin regarding her family's experience. The letter was titled "Outstanding Sportsmanship," and in it the woman noted that the players were quiet, respectful, happy to sign autographs and overall "behaved like perfect gentlemen at all times.
