Head Coach Vann Stuedeman has elevated Mississippi State’s softball program during her four years in Starkville, and they look like they are about to take off.
Despite the sweep at the hands of Tennessee during Super Bulldog Weekend, this year’s team has done well with a 31-16 record. Their current RPI sits at 31.
Just two weeks ago the Bulldogs beat #1 LSU on a Wednesday – and they’ve competed in the incredibly difficult SEC all year. As good as the conference is, a 9-12 record in league play is really good.
Chances of hosting a Regional took a pretty big hit this past weekend, but that’s okay – we probably weren’t going to anyway with the facility being a construction site.
