Ole Miss RB Jordan Wilkins defiant in face of looming NCAA sanctions

Ole Miss on Wednesday announced a voluntary one-year bowl ban for 2017 following an NCAA investigation that revealed 21 allegations of violations made by the football program.

Rebels running back Jordan Wilkins responded to the announcement and released the following statement on his Facebook page less than 24 hours after news broke of the self-imposed ban.

Wilkins missed the 2016 season after being ruled academically ineligible in August. He rushed for 379 yards and four touchdowns during the previous season.

Wilkins was part of Ole Miss’ highly acclaimed 2013 recruiting class, one that included such five-star prospects as Robert Nkemdiche, Laquon Treadwell and Laremy Tunsil.
