Wild Agrees To Terms With Matt Dumba On A Two-Year Contract

The Minnesota has agreed to terms with restricted free-agent defenseman Matt Dumba (pronounced DUHM-ba) on a two-year, $5.1 million contract worth $2.35 million in 2016-17 and $2.75 million in 2017-18.

Dumba, 22 (7/25/94), registered 26 points (10-16=26) and 38 penalty minutes (PIM) in 81 games with Minnesota in 2015-16, totaling career highs in games played, goals, assists, points, PPG (6), GWG (3), shots (152), PIM, hits (83) and blocked shots (56). The 6-foot, 193-pound native of Regina, Sask., ranked T-3rd on the club in PPG and fourth in PIM, and ranked second amongst Wild blueliners in goals and shots, and third in scoring.
