ST. LOUIS -- Devan Dubnyk was on his side, crawling in desperation, when St. Louis Blues star forward Alexander Steen made a pretty move and launched what looked like a sure-fire goal.
The game operations crew was so sure it was a goal, they began the customary celebration, blasting fireworks-like smoke from the rafters.
Even Wild coach Mike Yeo saw the blasts from the bench and figured it was bound to be a goal.
Instead, Dubnyk lifted his leg high enough to make a sprawling save, one of many he made Friday night. It was an incredible response and helped pull the Wild within one win of finishing off their opening-round playoff series.
