MANKATO, Minn. -- Banged-up cornerback Captain Munnerlyn hopes to play for the Vikings in Sunday's Hall of Fame Game, but he doesn't know if that's going to happen.
Munnerlyn was slowed during spring drills with a foot problem and has been limited so far in training camp. He might not be ready when the Vikings open the preseason schedule against Pittsburgh in Canton, Ohio.
"I want to (play), but we'll see how it goes," Munnerlyn said. "I'm still not where I want to be. I'm still not where I consider ready for football."
Munnerlyn started all 16 games for the Vikings last season.
