TMZ Sports reports that Vikings WR Michael Floyd has completed one-day jail stint and has been released to serve out the remaining five days of house arrest for his recent alcohol violation.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL already conducted a hearing regarding Floyd’s case last week.
Floyd faces a two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and Florio believes his penalty could be “even greater” considering he plead guilty to an extreme DUI.
As noted by Florio, the NFL’s substance-abuse policy states:
“Absent aggravating circumstances, discipline for a first offense will be a suspension without pay for two (2) regular or postseason games.
