Vikings RB Murray stakes claim to team’s starting job

  • Appearing on Good Morning Football Tuesday, Vikings running back Latavius Murray stated that “this is my time, this is my opportunity” to take hold of the lead back role in the Minnesota offense. Murray and rookie Dalvin Cook will likely battle in training camp to replace Adrian Peterson as the Vikings main ball-carrier.
  • Murray signed as a free agent in Minnesota this offseason after spending the first four years of his career in Oakland. He led Raiders halfbacks in snaps played in 2016 with 525, but shared time with DeAndre Washington (240 snaps) and Jalen Richard (235 snaps).
