Mock draft has the Vikings selecting a wide receiver with their first pick

Based on the fact that the Minnesota Vikings have drafted four wide receivers in the past four years, one could safely assume that adding another pass catcher to their roster is not a top priority for the team heading into this spring’s draft.

However, that was not the thinking of NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter when he recently forecasted the Vikings to use their first pick of the draft in the second round (46th overall) on Eastern Washington wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Seems like a bit of stretch since Minnesota just used a first round selection on Laquon Treadwell during last year’s draft.
