Vikings News: Mike Zimmer Talks Super Bowl Dream, Nerves Over First Game

In this Vikings news and rumors update, new Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has his team with their sights set high heading into the 2014 NFL season.

According to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Zimmer already has one Super Bowl title with the Vikings - in his dreams:

"I had a heck of a dream last night. I dreamt we won the Super Bowl. It was amazing. It was real, too. I was getting ready to get up on that podium, but then I woke up."

Zimmer already has one Super Bowl title on his resume', after winning a ring as the Dallas Cowboys' defensive backs coach after the 1995 season.

Now, after 20 years as an assistant coach and with a perfect 4-0 preseason record under his belt, Zimmer is ready for his ultimate test to begin on Sunday.

"It hasn't hit yet, but it will," Zimmer said, via Tomasson's article on Friday. "I'll be nervous. I'm excited, though. I'm excited to watch this team play. If we play it like we practice, and do it like we did, I really shouldn't be nervous because we're doing the right things."

"But it's just my nature that I'm a high-strung type."
