Vikings' Adrian Peterson wants better contract, not trade

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer made clear Wednesday where he stands on disgruntled running back Adrian Peterson.

"Adrian, he's really got two choices," Zimmer said after the second day of organized team activities. "He can either play for us or he cannot play. He's not going to play for anybody else. That's just the way it's going to be."

Peterson has chosen to not attend OTAs this week and probably won't be at the next two sessions either, costing him a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract.

The Vikings' all-time leading rusher missed 15 games last season because of a child-abuse incident and is upset with the team because he believes some in the organization didn't do enough to get him back on the field.
