NFLPA Files Grievance For Adrian Peterson's Reinstatement

The NFL Player's Association announced on Monday that they've filed a grievance with the league to get Minnesota Vikings running back off the Commissioner's Exempt list and back onto the field.

“The NFLPA has filed an expedited, non-injury grievance to remove Adrian Peterson from the Commissioner’s Exempt list based on explicit language in a signed agreement dated September 18, 2014,” the statement says. “We asked the NFL to honor the terms of that agreement last week and as of now, they have failed to respond or comply. It is our obligation to protect all players’ rights, and we will pursue any and all breaches of any contract between a player and his team or the NFL.”

Peterson hasn't played since Week 1 while dealing with a legal case in which he was charged with whipping his four-year-old son. The star RB pleaded no contest and received a misdemeanor reckless assault charge.

The NFL has no schedule for when they plan to allow Peterson back on the field.
