Minnesota Vikings: Options In The 2015 Suppelmental Draft

There hasn’t been a player selected in the NFL’s Suppelmental Draft since Josh Gordon was claimed by the Cleveland Browns back in 2012. While not many players get their shot in the NFL through this process, Minnesota Vikings fans know just how important paying attention to these players can be.

One of the biggest icons in Minnesota Vikings history was part of the Suppelmental Draft process. Wide receiver Cris Carter was obtained with a fourth round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, but was later released for his off-the-field issues. Vikings fans know the story from there. Carter went on to have his jersey number retired by Minnesota, be enshrined in the Vikings Ring of Honor, and enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
