3 Reasons Vikings Fans Should Be Optimistic About The 2015 Season

It’s been a quiet offseason for the Minnesota Vikings so far, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be optimistic about when the 2015 NFL regular season gets going just over five months from now. Here are three reasons why Vikings fans should be looking forward to the season:

3) The arrival of Mike Wallace

The Vikings have been trying to find a No. 1 receiver ever since Randy Moss left, and Wallace is perhaps the closest Minnesota has come to acquiring one. He's a premier deep threat with speed that makes him a threat to score every time he touches the ball, and he gives the Vikings a premier weapon to put on the other side of Cordarrelle Patterson.

2) Teddy Bridgewater's progression

Bridgewater shined in his rookie season, passing for just under 3,000 yards and 14 touchdowns in just 13 games. Now that he has some experience and a full offseason to prepare, he should only improve in 2015.

1) Adrian Peterson's return

Peterson seems to be trying to force his way out of Minnesota, but the Vikings still have him under contract for three seasons. He if does return to the field for Minnesota, the Vikings will suddenly have one of the league's premier offensive weapons they didn't have last year. Even if the Vikings do decide to trade him, they'll undoubtedly get a lot in return for him, which will pay dividends on the field.
