Saturday night's game between the Royals and Twins has been postponed because of rain in the Kansas City area. The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 1 as part of a day-night doubleheader.
Royals right-hander Jason Hammel was slated to throw opposite Twins righty Phil Hughes. The teams have not yet announced how the rainout will affect their pitching rotations.
Fans holding tickets for today's game will be able to use those same ones for the rescheduled game on July 1. First pitch for that contest will be at 7:35 p.m. local time.
