According to a source of Twins’ blogger Ted Schwerzler, and confirmed by Mike Berardino, the Minnesota Twins have called up Jose Berrios.
Berrios is set to join the team in Minnesota today. He’s set to make his debut on Wednesday against the Indians. It is unknown at the moment who he’ll replace in the rotation.
Jose was not on the 40 man roster but the Twins do have an open space due to losing John Hicks on waivers. This recall of Berrios smooths over the gaffe management made in outrighting Hicks prematurely.
The Twins will need to bump someone off the 25 man roster to accommodate Berrios.
