Minnesota Twins: Miguel Sano's homer-that-wasn't costly as winning streak ends

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- It was only a matter of time before Miguel Sano met up with the catwalks at Tropicana Field.

Unfortunately for the Twins, Sano's third-inning blast hit the B-ring catwalk, 150 feet above the playing surface, and resulted in a run-scoring double instead of a two-run homer.

That proved significant in a 5-4 Twins loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.

Multiple breakdowns proved costly in the sixth inning to the Twins, who saw their longest winning streak since June 2011 end at six games.

This was their longest road winning streak since 2007.
