Twins manager Paul Molitor always planting positive seeds

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After writing Eduardo Nunez's name onto the lineup card against Cleveland's hard-throwing Danny Salazar last weekend, Paul Molitor casually mentioned he thought that might be the "perfect matchup" for the little-used Twins utility man.

Nunez, who had never faced Salazar, responded with a double and a run his first time up. He later added a sharp single against a pitcher who otherwise dominated the Twins that day.

Passing Jordan Schafer in the clubhouse this week in Kansas City, Molitor saw the slumping center fielder staring into space and offered a quick word of encouragement.
