Minnesota Twins: Offense shuts down in loss to White Sox

CHICAGO -- For the third time in as many games on this road trip, the Twins jumped out to a quick lead before shutting things down at the plate.

This time, it cost them.

J.B. Shuck's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning scored Gordon Beckham with the go-ahead run as the Chicago White Sox grabbed a 3-2 win Friday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Beckham, inserted as a pinch hitter, drew a four-pitch walk off Aaron Thompson and moved to third when Alexei Ramirez greeted Michael Tonkin with a ground-ball single the other way.

Tonkin entered having allowed just two of his past 22 inherited runners to score, dating to May 1, 2014.
