Karl-Anthony Towns and Co. will be on the floor — for real, this time. Tom Thibodeau will be roaming the sidelines, although he’s already reached mid-season form in terms of stalking back and forth and hoarsely shouting at players and officials alike.
The season opens with two of the first three games against a key Western Conference team in the Memphis Grizzlies. For a young squad looking to squeak into the seventh or eighth seed in the playoff race, they’ll need to get past an old, grizzled squad that will likely fall in that same range when it’s all said and done.
