Another day, another mock draft.
Chad Ford of ESPN Insider released the seventh edition of his 2017 mock draft — the first reflecting the Philadelphia-Boston swap of the #1 and #3 overall picks. Yesterday, we talked about whether or not the trade could affect the Timberwolves at #7, and while it seems unlikely that it will change which players are selected in which slots, it could impact any potential trade value that the seventh-pick might have.
Of course, we don’t have much information to suggest that Thibodeau and general manager Scott Layden are feverishly trying to move the pick, but it’s a safe bet that they have some contingencies in place depending on how the first six selections fall.
