Ricky Rubio Could Miss Two Months With Severely Sprained Ankle

Minnesota point guard Ricky Rubio left the Timberwolves' loss to the Orlando Magic last night with a badly sprained ankle. The team announced that Rubio will be out indefinitely, but now reports are surfacing that he will miss a significant amount of time.

Minnesota had just signed Rubio to a 4-year, $56 million extension, and will now turn to backup Mo Williams to take over the starting point guard duties. Explosive rookie Zach LaVine will also see significantly more minutes.

The Timberwolves are 2-3 so far this season and face the Miami Heat tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.
