In this Timberwolves news and trade rumors update, the Minnesota Timberwolves are currently shopping swingman Corey Brewer as they continue to look towards building the future foundation of their franchise.

Per Stein, "Minnesota is believed to be seeking future assets in exchange for Brewer as it tries to accelerate its rebuilding effort in the wake of trading star power forward Kevin Love to the Cavaliers in August."
The Rockets were said to have coveted Brewer prior to last season's NBA trade deadline, indicating that they had registered interest even before he dropped 51 points on the Rockets in a game later on in the campaign.
Cleveland, on the other hand, would present a reunion between Brewer and Kevin Love - a combination the Cavs are likely to be viewing as a way of adding some more chemistry to a team comprised of plenty of new parts.
