Designs for the Milwaukee Bucks' new arena, parking structure and training facility were officially approved by the city of Milwaukee Tuesday via a Common Council vote.
According to Tom Daykin of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the arena and training facility were both approved unanimously, with a 15-0 vote, while the parking structure was approved by a 14-1 margin.
Construction of the arena is set to begin in June, and the new arena is expected to open in time for the 2018-19 NBA season.
Per Daykin, the $554 million project will include $250 million in public funding.
