Atlanta — Two more members of the Milwaukee Brewers' pitching staff are closing in on joining Will Smith in the minor leagues on rehab assignments.
Starter Matt Garza threw a 55-pitch bullpen session at Turner Field before Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Braves, and reliever Corey Knebel had a 45-pitch session. Both threw their full repertoires, taking breaks to simulate innings and reporting no problems afterward.
"Felt real good, strong," said Garza, who has been on the disabled list all season with a strained right lat. "Hot weather helped out.
