Teammates excited for Hicks' HOF induction

MURFREESBORO - Middle Tennessee's 41 class of Blue Raider Hall of Fame inductees will gather Saturday to be enshrined forever as hall of famers.

This year's class includes former football offensive lineman Pat Hicks, along with track and field All-American Eddie Loyd, women's basketball player Patrice Holmes and softball player Cortney Mitchell.

Hicks, who played left tackle for the Blue Raiders in the early 1990s, is used to being the one leading his teammates through holes in the defense. Due to sight loss, though, the tides will turn Saturday and he will be led through the ceremony by his former running back and fellow Hall of Famer Kippy Bayless.
