Stewarts Creek's baseball team lived to fight another day with a 4-1 thrilling win 12 innings Wednesday night at Spring Fling in the Class AAA state baseball tournament at Oakland.
Earlier in the day, Stewarts Creek fell 3-0 to Jefferson County in a winners' bracket game.
Daniel Freeman broke an eight-inning long 1-1 tie with a huge two-RBI single in the top of the 12th that proved to be the game winner.
"It was fun," said Freeman. "It definitely helps to get a lead-off runner on base. I just got a barrel on the ball and did what anyone on our team could have done.
