MTSU needed a fierce comeback, but the Blue Raiders took care of business at home Saturday in their Conference USA opener against Louisiana Tech.
The Blue Raiders (3-1, 1-0) fell down 27-7 to the Bulldogs (1-3, 0-1) early in the third quarter before finding their mojo on both sides of the ball. They climbed all the way back into the game, gaining a 31-27 lead with 6:58 left in the contest, but LA Tech cut the bleeding just in time and answered with a touchdown to grab a 34-31 lead with just 3:56 left.
MTSU wouldn't be denied, though.
