MURFREESBORO, Tenn.— It was a tale of two games in Game 1 of the Blue-White World Series, as the Blue team came away with the 7-5 victory Friday afternoon at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
The offense was abundant early and often, as all 12 runs were scored in the first three innings. The scoring spree started when senior crushed the third pitch of the game for a home run to left field. Jarreau added another homer in the third inning, as Blue cranked four home runs in the game.
White answered in the bottom of the first with three runs of its own thanks to back-to-back singles from and to lead off the inning.
