It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day of intercollegiate athletics and forget just what student athletes have to balance in the course of their normal comings and goings. For most, it’s a gigantic challenge to simply balance their athletics and academics, so when someone comes along that garners national recognition for not just that, but also their community involvement and commitment, it is most certainly worth some press. When that recognition falls on a Mid-American Conference student athlete, then consider is all in.
For Toledo’s Cody Thompson, that recognition has come in the form of being nominated to the 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
