WESTERN MICHIGAN'S DARIUS PHILLIPS' NAMED TO 2017 PAUL HORNUNG AWARD WATCH LIST

Louisville, Ky. - July 17, 2017 - The Louisville Sports Commission today named 46 multi-talented college football players to the 2017 Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse. From the MAC, Western Michigan defensive back, punt returner and kickoff returner, Darius Phillips was named to this award list, given annually to the nation's most versatile player.

Phillips, 5-10 and 190 lbs., was named the 2016 MAC Special Teams Player of the Year and 2016 All-MAC First Team on defense as he returned three interceptions, one kickoff and one punt return for touchdowns during the 2016 season.
