CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Monday the 2016 Volleyball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 78 student-athletes were named to this year’s squad.
Toledo led the conference with 10 student-athletes making the 2016 team. Akron followed close behind with nine student-athletes receiving honors. Bowling Green, Kent State and Northern Illinois each are represented by eight.
Miami’s Katie Tomasic (senior, finance) along with Akron’s Kayla Gwozdz (sophomore, social work) and Callie Mack (senior, marketing & international business) finished the season with perfect 4.0 grade point averages.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics.
