Michigan wrapped up its trip to the Bahamas on Friday evening, claiming fifth place standing in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament with a victory over Texas. The Wolverines got out in front early, then used a six point surge in the closing minute to claim a 12 advantage heading into the half. The lead didn’t get much beyond that though, and the Maize and Blue were forced to battle off a rallying effort from the Longhorns.
Texas pulled to within one point of Michigan with four and half minutes left in the game, but a pair of scores from Caris LeVert and a big three pointer from Zak Irvin reestablished much of the lost lead.
