A few bowls are issuing shopping sprees or gift cards beyond Best Buy. The Peach Bowl is issuing a $300 Vanilla Visa gift card, the Military Bowl is giving a $300 Microsoft gift card, and the Liberty Bowl is putting on a Bass Pro Shops shopping trip.
Two dozen of the 41 bowls are including gift suites, which are private events set up for game participants and other bowl VIPs. The recipients are typically given an order form and allowed to set a gift or gifts.
Participants in the CFP national title game Jan. 9 at Raymond James Stadium will receive an unspecified “iconic” gift.
